Semi state sales

Yes, a serious topic. The report on the sale of state assets by Colm McCarthy. But its not the sales I'm angry about. Its the wages of the CEO's. Despite having taken 'pay cuts' they then were awarded 'other payments' and pension payments far in excess of the paycuts. So in actual fact, their total remuneration has gone up!

Is this country nuts or what?! Bloated public sector, over paid CEO's in the semi-state sector and even certain sectors of the public service whining about having to pay for their pensions!

I've taken a pay cut. Ya, sure I only work part-time in a bar but you know what would happen me if I threatened to go on strike?

Before strikes get back on the agenda, the government should introduce legislation ensuring essential services are not affected. That means ESB workers, nurses, gas workers would come under a similar umbrella to the gardai and army - prohibed from going on strike. I'm sick of them holding the country to ransom.

I'm doing the wrong course!!

Just took a two minute personality test. I'm on the wrong course. This says I should be a counselor, Philosopher, relgious person (a priest?? Or a god?!). I'm gonna suck at business :(

Wow a blog

So I got me ma own blog! Foolishly Bobs advised me to start one and given that im bored and shes annoying this is half out of interest and half to shut her up :D Besides, now everyone can read my really interesting blog posts. REALLY INTERESTING.

Easter break coming up. Gonna be staying over in dublin instead of heading home. Ill get some study done. NOT. Actually enjoying the year in DIT. Didnt think I would so glad I came here (And got it!!).
